Step into a new era of surface protection with GSO2. Harnessing the power of graphene, we go beyond conventional UV stabilisers, blocking up to 20% of UVA radiation - the primary culprit behind degradation of polyurethane paints and films.
Until now, while able to withstand UV breakdown themselves, ceramic coatings have zero UV blocking ability to protect the substrate they are applied to. Our scientific testing for GSO2 demonstrates peak protection between the critical 300-400nm range.
UV radiation, heat, and atmospheric elements cause the degradation and discolouration of polyurethanes. This is a free-radical initiated chain reaction, which is slow at the start and accelerates over time. The process is identical to that which causes aging in human tissue.
Traditionally, UV stabiliser additives migrate through the polymer to catch free-radicals. Unfortunately, this same function results in the stabilisers migrating out of the polymer matrix thus limiting their service life.
GSO2 solves this issue, functionalising graphene superoxide by building it into the polymer matrix through chemical bonds. As a result, UV based degradation is reduced with up to 20% of UVA frequency radiation inhibited by the coating.
In addition to UV protection, our GSO2 formulation has been scientifically proven to significantly increase coating adhesion and cohesion - both of which increase long term durability of your protection.
While pristine nano-graphene is more economical to manufacture, it lacks functional groups to interact with the polymer matrix. We manufacture GSO2 utilising research-grade, single-layer graphene superoxide, that is chemically reacted to create a three-dimensional composite material.
Our proprietary resin has been third party tested by the Commonwealth Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) to standard ASTM D1308-20 demonstrating resistance to caustic chemicals and digestive enzymes. Click here to view our test results.
Vehicle maintenance does not need to be difficult. The hydrophobic finish of Elite GSO2 is extremely smooth, and makes maintaining your vehicle easier, while reducing surface contamination build-up over time to retain its original gloss.
Our proprietary Multi-Cure technology provides polymer-on-polymer bonding after extended cure times, or rapid infrared curing between layers. Multi-Cure reduces film loss when layering, and allows for a more consistent installation with wider application window between layers.
Elite GSO2 expands your paint protection film's pH tolerance for acid and alkaline chemicals. Increased resistance to etching and the superior self-cleaning effect will extend the life of your film.
